But that’s just the beginning! Alongside Dominican, Cuban, and Colombian-rooted dances, the event will showcase vibrant performances, folkloric shows, live bands, and so much more.

Originally from Finland and now based in Rotterdam, is the driving force behind our Konpa activities. As the founder of Konpassion, the first dance school in the Netherlands dedicated to Konpa, she has played a key role in growing the Konpa community in Europe. Her passion and her dedication to cultural connection have made her a rising star in the scene.
Since being introduced to Konpa in 2017, Janita has been teaching weekly classes and boot camps, and in 2024, she co-launched Anbyans Konpa, the first monthly Konpa event in Rotterdam, while founding Sansasyon, the Netherlands’ first Konpa performance group. Through collaborations with (inter)national DJs and instructors, Janita ensures our events honor Haitian tradition while delivering unforgettable experiences.
